Axel Zwingenberger's non-profit foundation within the German Foundation for the Protection of Historical Monuments (Deutsche Stiftung Denkmalschutz) under the auspices of the Federal President of the Federal Republic of Germany donates for the preservation of monuments on rails, including the fastest operable steam engine in the world, No. 18 201.
First established with the name »Stiftung Dampflok 18 201«, the foundation was extended into »Stiftung Kultur auf Schienen« - »Foundation Culture On Rails« in 2007.
