Photography & Trains

Statistically, the second biggest hobby group in Germany is that of train lovers, many of them certainly steam engine enthusiasts. Axel Zwingenberger is one of them since early childhood. At the age of 10 he started taking photos of these steel dragons. About 15 years ago he even began a cultural project which opened a second artistic language to him besides music.

The Magic of Trains

In the 1990s, Axel Zwingenberger rediscovered his old passion for steam locomotives and began photographing them intensively. This eventually led to the publication of a photo book.
